Overwatch 2 finally has a release date and it’s going free to play!
Blizzard made the announcement on Sunday as part of the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase.
Overwatch 2 is also getting a new hero, a tank, named Junker Queen and an unknown hero who transforms or whose power is a glowing blue fox.

Overwatch 2 will be released for Early Access on October 4, 2022 on PC and console. Very exciting!
Looks like this game is finally getting some solid corporate support behind it with Microsoft’s purchase of Blizzard early this year. Blizzard previously warned that the game will not be ready until 2023 after numerous delays, so this is very good news for the fans of Overwatch.
I enjoyed playing the beta a few weeks ago, but after a while, it felt directionless. We shall see if the game improves in October.
