San Francisco police has released bodycam footage of the hammer attack on Paul Pelosi, Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband.
David DePape broke into the Pelosi residence in San Francisco on October 28, 2022 with intentions of kidnapping Nancy Pelosi who was in Washington, DC at the time.
Paul Pelosi, who is 82, managed to call 911 while speaking in codes. When the police arrived, he is seen struggling to get control of the hammer with DePape. It was then when DePape struck him.

David DePape has been charged with attempted murder, residential burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse, false imprisonment of an elder, and threats to a public official and their family. He faces 13 years to life if convincted.
In an interview last week, Nancy Pelosi said it would take three to four more months before her husband fully recovers from his injuries.
