Shelley Duvall dead at 75

Shelley Duvall, star of the classic thriller “The Shining” by Stanley Kubrick has died. She was 75.

Duvall died in her sleep at her home in Blanco, Texas on Thursday. The cause of death was complications from diabetes.

In a statement, her partner Dan Gilroy said:

My dear, sweet, wonderful life, partner, and friend left us last night. Too much suffering lately, now she’s free. Fly away beautiful Shelley.

Duvall also starred in “3 Women”, “Popeye” and “Time Bandits”.
