Controversial Irish pop singer Sinead O’Connor has died. She was 56.
She’s most famous for two things:
Her worldwide hit “Nothing Compares 2 U”, which many don’t know is a Prince cover.
And her musical guest appearance on SNL where she ripped a photo of the Pope, denouncing the rampant pedophilia in the Catholic Church.
Oh and her bald haircut, which was radical at the time (even now actually), for a female pop singer.
