Netflix has released the official trailer for “Tick, Tick… BOOM!” starring Andrew Garfield and directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
The movie is about Jonathan Larson, the creator of the Broadway musical “Rent” — and based on the autobiographical musical he wrote and performed.
Larson died before “Rent” opened.

There’s been misconception over the years that Larson died of AIDS since “Rent” was about the epidemic ravaging New York City at the time (and it added to the mythology of it all). However, Larson died from an aortic dissection believed to be from undiagnosed Marfan syndrome.
